Innovation and Integrated Management in Avocado Production - Cloned

Avocado production has become a strategic crop in various regions of Spain, driven by domestic demand and export opportunities. This training activity offers an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of the technical, environmental, and economic management of avocados, incorporating innovative practices that optimize productivity, sustainability, and profitability. Led by Jose María Cuadrado Martín and Agustín de Miguel Moreno, the course will cover topics related to varietal selection, soil and water management, plant health, energy efficiency, and strategies for addressing climate change. We wanted to inform you about the organization of this interesting FREE workshop entitled “Innovation and Integrated Management in Avocado Production” , which will be held on Thursday, May 7th , online , from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This workshop is part of a knowledge transfer project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and offers an updated and comprehensive overview of the technical, environmental, and economic management of avocados, incorporating innovative practices that optimize productivity, sustainability, and profitability. Fruit Attraction, from October 6 to 8, at IFEMA

From October 6 to 8, Fruit Attraction will once again transform Madrid into the world's leading meeting point for the fruit and vegetable sector. Organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX , the trade fair is preparing its 18th edition and has opened the application period for participation for all companies in the industry . Under the slogan "Where the essence of the sector connects with the world" , and after the resounding success of last year, Fruit Attraction returns stronger than ever to continue building the future of the sector . Fruit Attraction will occupy more than 78,000 m2 spread across 10 pavilions at IFEMA MADRID – 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14 – where the products, solutions, new varieties and formats, research, trends, and innovations of over 2,400 participating companies will be presented. This entire offering will be distributed across four specialized areas: Fresh Produce, Auxiliary Industry, Fresh Food Logistics, and Innova&Tech. Furthermore, the potato will be the star product. With all this, the fair anticipates setting a new attendance record with more than 121,000 professionals from 152 countries. Furthermore, Fruit Attraction will offer a platform for international growth and expansion through its 'International Buyers Program,' which, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food , ICEX , and FEPEX , will invite 700 major buyers, retail purchasing managers , importers, and wholesalers from over 50 countries to Madrid. Also noteworthy within this framework is the 'Guest Importing Countries' program, which this year will feature China and the United Arab Emirates . In this context, participating in Fruit Attraction represents a unique opportunity for companies in the sector: to gain visibility and international positioning in a highly specialized environment, to establish professional contacts that translate into real business, to have direct access to buyers and distributors from all over the world and to learn firsthand about the new trends and innovations that are shaping the course of the fruit and vegetable market. XXII Congress of the Spanish Society of Phytopathology

We are pleased to announce the XXII Congress of the Spanish Society of Phytopathology , which will take place in Palma de Mallorca from October 19 to 22, 2026 . As always, this meeting will be a national benchmark in plant health, with a high-level scientific program, prestigious speakers, and a special focus on the participation of young researchers.
